First off, I have to say THANK YOU! Thank you to my mom and mother-in-law who hosted (and spoiled their granddaughter - more on this next week!), my sisters for all they did, Jenn for the decorations and use of her restaurant, my Aunts who helped my mom out, everyone who took over my usual job of being my mom's sounding board for the shower, all my guests for coming (a special one as far away as Florida!) and for their generous gifts, and to everyone who did anything to help out. I know it was a team effort pulling it off and I have to admit, I absolutely LOVED everything about the day. From the black and white with hot pink accent color scheme, to the dessert table, to the games that were played, to the craft table, to my friends and family being there, and for a day for me to have a reason to smile and be happy. My triplets are always with me and never leave my thoughts, but it was nice to focus on just baby girl for awhile and be happy that she's doing good for the moment. Okay, before I get all teary eyed, here are some (of the 500+, no kidding) photos that were taken!
And this isn't even all of the gifts!
So happy to get my glider. Thanks Nicole and Caitlyn!
Mom, me, Mother-in-law (I'm one of those lucky ones who has a great MIL!)
Craft table: Write on a diaper, decorate a bib, create a hair accessory
The name Reveal (guests guessed what it could be given the initials L. S. and my sisters and I held up the letters that will go on her nursery wall:
Lila Sophia
Loved the dessert table! My Aunt Nor did a great job and my sister Caitlyn even made me wine cupcakes!
All my sisters feeling Lila kicking
Lila HAD to have this big teddy bear and I know she's going to love it!
And every little girl HAS to have their name embroidered on their own pink rocker, right? I'm pretty impressed with my embroidery skills here!
I'm a math teacher. What else can I say?
I need to get an app that does this. I love black and white photos with a tiny bit of color.
Some of her gifts, all ready to be put away. Look at that pile of books! I loved how everyone brought a book and wrote sweet messages to her.
No idea where I'm going to put all this stuff!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
I'm almost finished with her room so watch out for my next post!
So glad you enjoyed your shower! The triplets were there with you celebrating a happy day. I can't wait to see the finished baby room. I love you sis!
