23 Weeks

It's been 23 long, heartbreaking weeks since Ryker, Tommy and MaryElizabeth died. My babies have now been gone longer than I carried them.  I have no words to describe how that makes me feel.

Happy Halloween!

On this post, I'm actually not late. Tonight really was Halloween in our town.  And here are the babies, all ready to greet the Trick-or-Treaters!

First Snow

Yesterday would have been the triplets first snow.  I definitely would have put them in cute snow suits and brought them outside for a quick picture. I can picture it so clearly. I would have left them in their infant carriers, lined them up on the snowcovered grass, and snapped a cute picture of 3 smiling babies enjoying their first snow. I would have let them feel the snow in their little hands and then we would have came inside and had a photoshoot because they would have been wearing really cute outfits with snowflakes on them.

Instead, this is the picture I took:

Speaking of snow, that reminds me of a beautiful gift I received a few weeks ago: a snow globe with the babies names on it.

The heart says: If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.  It's such a meaningful gift. I've collected snow globes my whole life so it's very fitting that I have one for my three babies.  It plays a pretty song, has 3 doves, and says Ryker, Thomas and MaryElizabeth on the front.  I love it! Thank you so much Betty!

Day 31: Sunset

Day 31: Sunset

Today, or rather last week, was the last day of the grief project and I was supposed to take a picture of the sunset.  However, last Wednesday we were hit by a horrible storm and I haven't been able to get to the bay since for a good picture. So I'm going to cheat and post pictures of my favorite sunsets.
