How Far Along: 20 weeks!
Size of baby: The babies should be about 6.5 inches and weigh 10.6 ounces, but I bet mine are bigger than that! They are the size of a small cantaloupe.
Maternity Clothes: I
was going to go shopping this week, but I was too tired. It’s getting harder
and harder to get through each day, and doing 2 things (work and shopping) is
pretty much out of the question.
Fortunately, I only have 6 more days of work left, so I should be up for
some maternity clothes shopping after that.
Sleep: I was always a side sleeper and since that’s the best position
for a pregnant person to sleep in I thought I’d have no problems. But both my
sides are very sore from the shots so it’s hard to get comfortable. Then, if I
do manage to find a comfy spot the babies will decide they are not comfortable
and will either lie on a nerve and give me back pain or will make it hard for
me to breath. But it’s all worth it!
Best Moment of the Week: Discussing
baby names with my husband! We’re still not 100% sure, but we’re making a lot
of progress and have a good start. But don’t ask what names we’re considering
because it’s a secret! I don’t even know if we’ll be totally positive until we
see them anyway, so don’t feel bad that we’re not sharing.
Movement: I digest my food
after I eat (which is often) and I have gas (sorry!), so how the heck am I
supposed to know what a ‘flutter’ is and what is my body just doing its
thing??? Sometimes I think I may feel
something, but who knows. I’ve felt the
same things I think I’m feeling now when I wasn’t pregnant and was just
digesting my food! So I’m going with no,
I’m still not feeling movement.
Symptoms: Boy am
I starting to feel stretched!!! My
center of gravity is also changing, and sometimes I feel like I’m going to just
tip right over! I can no longer see my
butterfly tattoo on my hip, and I think my boobs are finally growing a
little. Other than that and the
continued back pain, I’m feeling pretty good.
Food cravings: No
cravings, but I definitely get hungry a lot and don’t feel too good if I have
an empty stomach.
What I Miss: Well,
there’s lots of stuff I wish I could do that I can’t anymore, but honestly, I’m
so happy to be pregnant right now that I don’t miss any of it!
What I'm Looking Forward To: My
work shower this Friday!
Milestones: 2o weeks! No more
teens for me!
Emotions: Happy
and excited! This is feeling more real every day, and I’m finally feeling more
confident that I will be bringing 3 babies home.

Just wanted to let everyone know that MaryFrancis is finally eating. Tonight we went out to dinner and she actually ate a whole 12 inch pizza pie. I did bet her a dollar that she couldn't eat it. Well, she definately collected that dollar. The funny thing is, she wasn't that full. No more left-overs with MaryFrancis around, lol.
ReplyDeleteLOL!
DeleteTotally agree on the 'doing 2 things in one day' - it is exhausting! I find I have more energy in the mornings. Love your bump, it sure is getting out there now! You will feel them soon enough - promise! Eat, eat and eat some more! My favourite at the moment is toast with cottage cheese and sliced avocado, topped with 2 scrambled eggs for brekfast. Yummo!
ReplyDeleteNo way she ate a whole 12 inch pizza herself .... I couldn't even finish one myself today at the same place .... So happy to hear ur appetite is increasing ...., when are we going shopping to get you some for comfortable clothes ..... And yes !!! 20 weeks it's so exciting I can't wait till I can spoil my niece and nephews !!! I'm still deciding what my aunt name is gonna be it's gotta be something fun since all our aunts have fun names
ReplyDeleteHearing that your babies are growing away makes me feel so much better! I'm pretty sure all of us just cannot believe you actually ate a whole 12 inch pizza yourself and still was hungry. Lol. Can't wait til you feel your first kick!
